Los Angeles Maternity Photography | The Old Zoo

When tasked with choosing a location for this particular maternity session I knew two things, one, that it be anything but ordinary and two, that it should be a bit of an adventure. After looking over some of my usual spots and scouring for new scenery I had the idea of going to the Old LA Zoo. I had never been to the abandoned zoo before but knew that using this scenery would result in beautiful maternity portraits fitting of our Mom and Dad to be.

We decided to hike up early on a Friday morning as we wanted to minimize the chance of being interrupted by hikers or staff of the Haunted Hayride (which by the way was even a little eerie in the day light). The security and staff members that we did encounter were very helpful and friendly, which made our experience even better.
